Benny is a handsome Maltese-Poodle mix who is looking for a new home! Benny was adopted to a loving couple a few years ago, but sadly, his owners can no longer care for him due to their ongoing health issues. He is currently in foster in NJ ready to find a forever home where he can live out his golden years. 

Benny is the sweetest little dog and the most loyal of companions. He gets very attached to his person/people, but he loves everyone, including all animals, though we do think he would do best with older kids who will be gentle with him. Benny is pretty mellow, but occasionally he’ll want to play fetch and keep away with his lambchop toy. 

Benny would do best in a home that is understanding of the needs of a senior dog and someone who is home a lot. Due to his arthritis, he does not go on walks, but will go out in the yard briefly. He also cannot do stairs and needs to be carried up/down them. He goes to the bathroom outside and on pee pads, but does have an occasional accident. He has cataract and slight age related hearing loss, but overall he is in good health. 
 
Benny is micro-chipped and up to date on vaccines, heartworm and flea & tick preventatives.  Benny tested negative for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $300. 

After all Benny has been through, he deserves a loving, committed home.
 
  

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care, at minimum, exercise, enrichment, grooming, etc … Pet care is not cheap nor easy and adopters should consider the cost, and time prior to adoption.
