Skyla is in a NJ foster home
Meet Skyla
Skyla’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. She came to us pregnant from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in South Jersey, but she’s ready to leave that past behind and start the next chapter of her life.
On January 23rd, Skyla welcomed her two beautiful puppies, Cash and Precious Chanel, into the world. She proved to be an incredible mom—fiercely protective, deeply devoted, and full of quiet strength. Now that her puppies have grown, it’s finally Skyla’s turn to find the love and security she deserves.
Skyla was recently spayed and is up to date on her vaccines. While she has made progress in her foster home, she is still a very shy and fearful girl who is learning that the world can be a safe place. Despite her fears, Skyla has an incredibly gentle nature and clearly wants love and affection—she just needs time, patience, and understanding to fully trust.
She enjoys spending time outside with her foster family's dogs and takes comfort in their presence. In fact, another confident and friendly dog in her forever home would be a huge help as she continues to build confidence and learn from their example. She is not yet comfortable walking on a leash, but she happily follows her canine companions outdoors.
Skyla is also working on her house-training and is doing well using puppy pads most of the time. Every day brings small victories as she continues to adjust to life in a home environment.
This sweet girl would thrive in a calm, patient home with adopters who understand that trust takes time to build. Watching Skyla slowly come out of her shell has been incredibly rewarding, and we know that with love and consistency, she will continue to blossom.
Skyla is a truly special dog with so much love to give. She’s looking for someone willing to see past her fears and give her the chance to become the happy, confident dog she was always meant to be.
Skyla is up to date on all vaccines and is altered. Her adoption donation is $500.
