MEET SOLARA!!
Solara is located in North Carolina and available for transport to New Jersey once a foster or adopter is found.
Super friendly blue eyed girl, loves everyone (no small kids, they make her nervous). She is fine with her foster mom’s 9 yr old grandson who lives next door and visits daily. Very snuggly and loving, loves attention yet is energetic. The low energy dog in her foster home does tire from her playfulness, then he just ignores her. Crate trained. Solara is enjoying the fenced yard in her foster home and long walks on the farm daily. She quickly learned how to walk on leash in her foster home away from all the shelter distractions. The cows on the farm interest her so she is learning the “leave it” command. Plays well with other dogs in the home and on the farm. Quickly picks up on routine!
Solara started a 5 week basic obedience class with her foster mom and did great! It was a large class and she was fine meeting the strange people and dogs.
Solara is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. Solara has been spayed and has a microchip. Her adoption donation is $450.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
